Specifications: 350 cc SOHC parallel twin, five speeds.
The parallel twin 350/500GTL models were introduced in 1975, when designer Tumidei updated a 1965 design. They never really fitted into the Ducati line-up, which up to that point had concentrated on small singles and big V-twins. They were equipped with Borrani rims, Marzocchi forks and Brembo brakes. The 500 Sport Desmo followed in 1977, and there was a racing version, the 500 Super Sport. The final variant was the GTV of 1978, which was a spring-valve version of the Sport Desmo, made until 1981. The bike on offer is an early 350-cc model in very nice original condition, with red and black paint and alloy wheel rims. Few of these parallel twins remain, and this example has a very purposeful stance riding on elegant alloy rims.
