Following a successful purchase at auction, bidders are advised that payment is due in full on or before 17:00 of the next business day following the auction. For purchases under €5,000, the credit card provided at the point of registration will automatically be used as the payment method, and the final price will be deducted in full. For purchases over €5,000, payment must be made by wire transfer. The successful bidder will receive a copy of their bill of sale and instructions to remit payment via email.

Buyer’s Premium
In addition to the final bid amount, a buyer’s premium is due on each lot purchased. This fee is clearly displayed under the ‘Additional Information’ tab on each lot page when viewing on rmsothebys.com and applies to the final hammer price achieved at auction. Please note VAT at a rate of 20% is applicable on the buyer’s premium.

Taxes/Import Duties
Buyers are responsible for any applicable duty and/or local taxes on any lots purchased. International bidders are advised to inform themselves of potential import duties that would be due upon the arrival of the lot to its final destination. You are advised to speak with your local representatives in advance of the sale to understand what these costs may be. An administrative fee will be applicable to any car offered on temporary import bond in order to oversee the customs formalities. The location of the lot is clearly indicated on each lot page when viewing the site.

Following the auction, all lots will be on public display until 11 June. After this point, all lots will be removed from the auction venue and taken into secure storage at a cost of €840 + VAT per lot to be charged to the buyer. Storage fees will be applicable as outlined in the Bidder’s Conditions of Business.

Buyers are required to make immediate arrangements for the collection and transport of purchased lots from the storage facility. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make their own arrangements, but RMS is pleased to offer our clients the services of the following companies:
