An immense racing success for Mercedes-Benz, the AMG GT platform remains one of the stalwarts of the GT3 category and still contributes towards victories to this day. In 2022, the brand celebrated the 55th anniversary of AMG with the release of the marque’s most powerful customer sportscar yet, the AMG GT Track Series.

The Track Series is limited to just 55 examples and represents the most capable iteration of the AMG GT yet. Cradled under the hood is the ubiquitous 4.0-litre V-8 engine now tuned with custom motorsport injectors to deliver a staggering 778 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. This sensational power is delivered to a rear transaxle from Hewland with six forward gears and an adjustable differential. Befitting such a serious track weapon, four-way adjustable Bilstein dampers allow for low- and high-speed settings as to maintain grip.

Aerodynamically, the Track Series takes great inspiration from its GT3 counterpart with the addition of elements specific to this special addition vehicle. At the front, both the grille and bonnet scoops are almost identical to the GT3 while the splitter and brake ducts show off a bespoke design. In addition, the Track Series features unique front wheel vents, side skirts, and a powerful twin-element rear wing to complete the wind manipulating package.

Weighing in at around 1,400 kilograms, the Track Series benefits from extensive use of lightweight materials, resulting in an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. Forged 18-inch wheels—staggered with massive 13-inch-wide rear tyres—sit over AP Racing brakes with J-hook rotors for relentless stopping power.

The interior is stripped of all non-essentials, purpose-built for competition. A full FIA-compliant roll cage spans the cabin, enclosing carbon fibre racing seats with Schroth harnesses, a steering yoke inspired by GT3 and GT4 machinery, and a focused array of racing controls. Almost every interior panel is finished in exposed carbon fibre, underscoring the car’s commitment to lightweight, functional design.

The 41st of 55 examples produced, this UK market GT Track Series is finished in a model-specific livery over a signature Manufaktur Hightech Silver Magno base coat commensurate with the marque’s “Silver Arrows” heritage. The vehicle is additionally configured with a passenger seat. Presented after very light use and offered from its original owner, this car offers bidders the opportunity to buy a “nearly new” example with just 782 kilometres on the odometer. In addition, the vehicle will be accompanied by a comprehensive package of spares allowing many more days out to the circuit.

Each Track Series customer also gains access to Mercedes-AMG’s bespoke support programme, including technical assistance from AMG engineers, a dedicated service hotline, and logistical support for spare parts delivery. Additional service and support are available directly through HWA AG, AMG’s long-time motorsport partner and co-developer of the Track Series.

Recognised by the motorsport community for its accessible performance, the AMG GT has built an undeniable motorsport legacy that this Track Series readily embraces. As the ultimate expression of the AMG GT platform and one of just 55 units produced, the Track Series is among the rarest modern Mercedes-AMG models. Whether as a collection centrepiece or a purpose-built track weapon, it stands as a pinnacle of factory-engineered performance.
