Unveiled in 2022 to mark AMG’s 55th anniversary, the Mercedes-AMG GT Track Series was developed for dedicated enthusiasts and collectors. The limited-production machine, capped at just 55 examples, takes the formidable GT Black Series as its foundation then elevates every aspect of its performance.
At its core lies a significantly reworked version of the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V-8, now producing 734 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. Equipped with a Hewland six-speed transaxle sequential gearbox, four-way adjustable Bilstein dampers, and motorsport-derived aerodynamics, the Track Series delivers supreme circuit capability.
Weighing 1,400 kilograms, the Track Series benefits from extensive use of lightweight materials, resulting in an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. Forged 18-inch wheels—staggered with massive 13-inch-wide rear tyres—sit over AP Racing brakes with J-hook rotors for relentless stopping power.
The interior is stripped of all non-essentials, purpose-built for competition. A full FIA-compliant roll cage spans the cabin, enclosing carbon fibre racing seats with Schroth harnesses, a steering yoke inspired by GT3 and GT4 machinery, and a focused array of racing controls. Nearly every interior panel is finished in exposed carbon fibre, underscoring the car’s commitment to lightweight, functional design.
The 51st of those 55 examples produced, this Swiss-market GT Track Series is finished in a model-specific livery over a signature Manufaktur Hightech Silver Magno base coat. Presented after very light use, this car offers bidders the opportunity to buy a “nearly new” example.
Each Track Series customer also gains access to Mercedes-AMG’s bespoke support programme, including technical assistance from AMG engineers, a dedicated service hotline, and logistical support for spare parts delivery. Additional service and support is available directly through HWA AG, AMG’s long-time motorsport partner and co-developer of the Track Series.
As the ultimate expression of the AMG GT platform and one of just 55 units produced, the Track Series is among the rarest modern Mercedes-AMG models. Whether as a collection centrepiece or a purpose-built track weapon, it stands as a pinnacle of factory-engineered performance.
