Launched in 2015, the Ferrari F12tdf was the most extreme version of the F12berlinetta, which had arrived three years earlier as a replacement for the outgoing 599 GTB. Just as the 599 had gained a high-performance variant that borrowed a hallowed moniker—GTO—from Ferrari’s history, so too did the F12tdf draw from the marque’s past. It paid tribute to the Scaglietti-bodied V-12 “Tour de France” racing gran turismos of the late 1950s.

Designed as a track-focussed variant, the F12tdf featured many improvements over the already technologically advanced F12berlinetta. The 6.3-litre V-12 was retuned to produce 769 horsepower, making it more potent than any Ferrari that had come before—with the exception of the LaFerrari. To counter that power, carbon-ceramic discs and one-piece callipers were borrowed from the firm’s mid-engined flagship. Extensive use of carbon fibre reduced the kerb weight by 110 kilograms, while the gearbox featured shorter gear ratios and quicker changes. The F12tdf was also the first ever Ferrari to feature four-wheel steering.

The result of these modifications is a machine that is visually more aggressive than the standard F12berlinetta, with wider side sills and an “Aerobridge” that directs airflow along the sides of the car. Thanks largely to the longer, taller rear wing and active rear diffuser, the F12tdf boasts an 87 per cent increase in downforce compared with the standard F12. It is also one of the most ballistically quick cars Maranello has ever produced, with 0-100 km/h achieved in just 2.9 seconds and an eye-opening top speed of 340 km/h.

With only 799 units produced in total, each is undoubtedly a very special machine. The example on offer, chassis 216113, is further elevated as one of the very few cars created via Ferrari’s ultra-exclusive Atelier programme, outfitted in a striking extra-range livery and a slate of well-chosen options. Delivered new to The Tailored For Speed Collection via Niki Hasler AG of Basel, Switzerland, it is finished in Rosso Fuoco with Argento Nurburgring racings stripes over an interior trimmed in a combination of Nero and Rosso Alcantara. Well-chosen interior details include carbon fibre dash inserts and interior trim, carbon fibre racing seats (in size medium), special stitching in Rosso, an interior hi-fi stereo system with Bluetooth, Ferrari telemetry, a passenger display system, a yellow tachometer face, and a luggage set.

Further special options include Alcantara-trimmed door handles, an Alcantara-trimmed parcel shelf with F12tdf logo embroidery, forged wheels in Nero DS Lucido with edge trim in Rosso Fuoco, black brake callipers, Nero DS Lucido rear view mirrors and trim, and the Sport exhaust system. As a crowning touch, the carbon fibre engine cover has been autographed by Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship-winning drivers Kimi Räikkönen and Sebastian Vettel.

Since its delivery to the consigning owner, the F12tdf has benefitted from regular servicing by specialists and official Ferrari dealerships, with the warranty book indicating that the most recent annual service was performed by Kessel of Zug in May 2025. At the time of cataloguing, its odometer displayed only 7,578 kilometres. It is accompanied by its owner’s manuals, warranty book, and a car cover.

The F12tdf is among the most potent, raw, and charismatic entries into the much-loved linage of front-engined V-12 flagship Ferraris. This exquisitely specified, single-owner example will accordingly appeal to marque and supercar enthusiasts seeking the ultimate thrill ride.
