The already-legendary 812 Competizione is no mere evolution of the 812 Superfast. It is a V-12 monster following in the lineage of the 599 GTO and F12tdf, pushing the naturally aspirated formula to its absolute limit. Redlining at a soaring 9,500 rpm, the Competizione’s 6.5-litre V-12 produces 812 horsepower, making it the most powerful non-hybrid, naturally aspirated engine to ever grace a Ferrari road car upon its debut.

The 812 Competizione hits 100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds and tops out at 339 km/h, while the carbon fibre-finned bonnet and rear buttresses manage airflow for downforce and stability rarely seen in a front-engined car. Ferrari’s four-wheel steering and E-Diff systems add uncanny agility, giving the driver remarkable confidence and control. With production capped at 999 units, each by invitation only, the 812 Competizione immediately became yet another chapter in the marque’s storied legacy of high-performance masterpieces.

First delivered in December 2023 via the official Swiss Ferrari dealer Niki Hasler AG of Basel, Switzerland, this extraordinary 812 Competizione displays a mere 271 kilometres on its odometer at the time of cataloguing. Cloaked in a special two-layer Extra Range finish of Grigio Competizione with a bicolore stripe livery of Giallo Fly and Nero extending across the bonnet and door tops, the car is further distinguished by airbrushed Scuderia Ferrari shields gracing both front wings.

A host of functional and aesthetic enhancements include adaptive LED headlights, front and rear parking cameras, and extensive exposed carbon fibre detailing found on the front air intakes, filter box, engine covers, splitter, and rear diffuser. Adding a touch of pedigree, the carbon fibre engine covers proudly bear the signatures of Ferrari Formula 1 drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz inscribed in silver ink against the deep grey woven panels.

The car rides on the Competizione’s optional 20-inch single-piece carbon fibre wheels. Shod in yellow-striped Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tyres, these wheels are approximately 40 per cent lighter than the standard version and make for a noticeable enhancement in both handling and responsiveness. Furthermore, the inside of the wheels are coated in an aerospace paint, which reflect and dissipate the immense heat generated by the braking system for lasting and constant performance even during intensive track use. Nestled behind these fascinating rims are a front-suspension lift system and yellow brake callipers mounted on cross-drilled carbon-ceramic brakes with integrated cooling ducts derived from Ferrari’s SF90 Stradale.

Plentiful Tailor Made equipment continues into a cabin lavished in Alcantara Nero with contrasting Nuovo Giallo stitching and embroidery. It is headlined by large-sized, chequered racing seats with lifters and upholstered in Nero Jeans Aunde with Giallo Cavallino-stitched headrests. Cockpit carbon fibre is found on the instrument cover, upper centre console, parcel shelf, inner door handle, and dashboard inserts while the Extra Range carbon fibre steering wheel wears Alcantara Nero hand grips with Nuovo Giallo stitching. A yellow-faced tachometer, Apple CarPlay, passenger display, diamond-plate footrests, and a JBL high-power hi-fi stereo system round out the car’s show-stopping specification.

Having penned its chapter in Ferrari’s legacy as an ultimate road and track machine, the 812 Competizione is already a must-have for any collection of limited-edition Ferraris. Tastefully specified in a spectacular livery, this finely detailed, low-mileage example awaits a passionate new caretaker ready to experience one of Ferrari’s most exhilarating models.
