In 1915, Ford updated the Model T once again as part of a continual effort to improve and refine its most popular model. While the hood and radiator lines remained identical to the previous model year, louvers were added to improve cooling and a new metal cowl sleekly sloped down to the engine, replacing the flat, exposed wood of previous Fords. Additionally, the fenders were modified with the front pair now featuring duck bills and the rear possessing a more complete curvature following the wheel. Standard equipment also improved thanks to new electric headlights. As offered from the factory, the Model T could be had as a Touring, Runabout, Sedan, Coupelet, Town Car, and a bare chassis. Ever popular, upwards of 300,000 examples were produced for the 1915 model year with the open Touring body style selling the most by far.

This 1915 Model T Touring is believed to be in largely original condition. The convertible top and interior upholstery have been updated sometime in the recent past. Additionally, the car has been upgraded with a fuel pump, a 12-volt electrical system, and a Ruckstell two-speed rear axle. Finished in iconic black paint, bright red wire spoke wheels provide a sporty appearance and the brass components throughout show with a fine patina. Cowl lights, a side mirror, and a Moto-Meter complete the exterior equipment. Within the accompanying files are purchase invoices that date back to 2018 and list various suspension and brake components. Furthermore, correspondence from 2013 details the installation of a speedometer.

The automobile responsible for mobilizing an entire nation, the Ford Model T possesses a mythical quality in the automotive world. Every true enthusiast should own an example at least once. This well preserved 1915 Model T Touring is worthy of a place in any early Ford garage.
