Following a four-year absence, the Thunderbird nameplate returned on an all-new two-seat roadster platform designed to recall the 1955 to 1957 first-generation cars that are so fondly recalled and greatly coveted. The exciting 2002 Ford Thunderbird was positioned to lead a host of long-time enthusiasts into a new era with modern features and excellent performance blended with a nostalgic personality. Classic lines combine seamlessly with outstanding design and functionality.

Finished in Torch Red with a black interior; its power is derived from a 3.9-liter, 252-hp DOHC V-8 engine that is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission that is smooth and responsive. Inside the 2002 Ford Thunderbird, you are surrounded with the comfort of dual zone climate control, power windows, door locks and seats, along with an AM/FM stereo with CD player. The interior is enhanced with genuine leather upholstery, and the steering wheel is wrapped with leather as well; instrumentation is represented with attractive white-faced analog gauges.

The substantial list continues with dual power outside mirrors, seventeen-inch chromed aluminum alloy wheels, new tires, four-wheel disc brakes and a standard power retractable convertible top so that you can enjoy your driving time to the utmost. Round headlights, Thunderbird emblem with thin turquoise-toned detail and an eggcrate grille complete the exterior with retro panache. This car is complete with the removable hardtop with porthole window and rear window defogger, and it is reported to have been sparingly driven since new though it should be noted that the title shows exempt. Of the approximately 31,000 2002 Thunderbirds built, it is reported that 3,791 were finished in Torch Red as seen with this example. The car remains an eye-catcher and is said to be a “great driver.”
