With the arrival of the MGA Roadster in 1955, several MG aficionados were taken aback by the fact that the prewar look of the company's sports cars had been tampered with. Instead, they were greeted with a streamlined, aerodynamic body that was right up-to-the-minute in terms of styling and design.

The example presented here displays a very good older restoration that presents nicely with excellent body and paint plus a solid undercarriage. It is finished in its original colors of black with red leather interior and black carpet. The MGA is driven by a 1,622-cc inline four-cylinder engine with twin carburetors and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission; the running gear was rebuilt at the time of restoration and it is reported to run and drive strong. All of the electrics are also in good working order. The exterior is complete with nicely detailed chrome trim, luggage rack and factory steel wheels with the proper caps and trim rings. The owner’s handbook is included in the sale of this smart looking roadster.

Given its features, this is a wonderful example of an English sports car that championed racing circuits and showrooms around the world, and it is ready to enjoy now.
