The new for 1951 Ford Victoria features an all-steel top that is without pillars, low and stylish; allowing wide-angle visibility with its sweep-around rear window. It was described in factory Ford brochures of the period as “convertible smart…sedan snug.” This attractive example is finished in light green with a black top and a light green interior. The Victoria has its original interior and has travelled less than 39,000 miles from new. The car is powered by a 239-cid, 100-hp V-8 engine that is linked to an automatic transmission. The car has a six-volt electrical system.
The Victoria is well-appointed with a driver’s side spotlight, AM radio, heater and defroster, simulated roof bows, fender skirts, Victoria nameplates on the front fenders, gold-finished crests on each side, distinctive and attractive bright trim elements and an elegant interior that is highlighted by the built-in rear seat armrests that was marketed as a “Luxury Lounge” interior. The Ford rides on bias-ply tires wide whitewall tires with steel wheels and factory hubcaps.
