This Cadillac is powered by a 500-cid, 190-hp V-8 engine connected to a Turbo-HydraMatic transmission in a front-wheel drive configuration. Equipment on this convertible includes cruise control, tilt steering column, AM/FM radio with power antenna, air conditioning; power top, steering, four-wheel disc brakes, windows and seats. The Cadillac is presented in Commodore Blue Metallic with red leather and white top, and it is reported to have approximately 17,000 actual miles.

This particular Eldorado was a 25th anniversary present to the consignor’s mother. It was purchased new at Crest Cadillac in Elmira, New York and would spend its entire time in this area. The car was the only convertible she would own, and it was well-loved and cared for prior to her untimely passing in 2009. The car remained in storage; unused and untouched from then until her husband’s passing.

After coming out of storage, the Eldorado has been freshened with new brakes, tires, plugs and wires. Additionally the oil and filters have been changed and nominal paint work was executed on faded plastic and rubber trim components.

The Eldorado convertible was, in 1976, the last American convertible of the era and was widely advertised as such. Cadillac made 14,000 examples and the model became an immediate collectable.
