Porsche began offering the Slantnose Package as far back as 1981 under the “Sonderwunschprogramm” factory, reshaping the front end of the car to the look of the legendary Porsche 935 racecars. This new and aggressive look offered by Porsche created a demand that commanded a high premium, in excess of 60-percent over the sticker price.

In 1987, Porsche offered a limited production “Code-505/506” Turbo Slantnose Modification package that included the slant-nose front clip, flip-up headlights, fender louvers, big wheel arches with grilled forward facing air scoops and extended rocker panels. All this now came from Zuffenhausen’s new Sonderwunsch special order department and in-house customizing operation. All in all, only 216 Porsche Slantnose Cabriolets were produced in 1987 for world-wide production. The example offered here was ordered and delivered new by Porsche of Toronto and sold new at 195,000 dollars, a 90,000 dollar premium above the suggested manufactures retail price. Optional equipment includes; Canadian Emission, Alarm, 505 Slantnose body option, Power Top, Right and Left Sport Seats – Electric Height Adjustment, Heated Seats, Limited Slip Differential, Standard Radio and Sport Steering Wheel. The car remained in Canada until 2003 where it was imported to the US.

Today the car remains in excellent un-restored condition driven only 69,403 miles (111,694 Kilometers) since new. Mechanically, the engine has undergone a complete, professional rebuild costing in excess of 20,000 dollars in 2008 (approximately 63,000 miles). The new build features K27 Turbos upgraded chain tensioners, B and B headers and Borla exhaust. All this rides on desirable RUF 17-inch wheels. The car is presented as fresh, turn-key and detailed condition.

This 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet Factory Slantnose comes fully documented with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, original Bill of Sale, original books, original tools, complete service history and complete owner history. When it comes to automotive investment, desirability and production numbers mean everything. The Turbo Slantnose Porsches offer the best of both world and this car is no exception.
