Cadillac completed its selection of luxury vehicles with the launch of the V-12 engine late in 1930. Based upon the V-16, which had been introduced earlier in the year, the V-12 line offered cataloged bodies by Fisher and Fleetwood, all with luxuriously trimmed interiors by Fleetwood. In common with the V-16, the engine was styled by Harley Earl’s Art & Colour Section, giving the V-12 a particularly attractive under-hood presentation. The V-12s were manufactured to extremely high-quality standards and differed only in details of trim and, of course, the engine size and complexities of the V-16.

Showing elegant and classic lines of its Body by Fleetwood; plus the smoothness and power that Cadillac engines have always been renowned for, this car rides on a 140-inch wheelbase with a 368-cid, 135-hp V-12 engine that is connected to a three-speed floor-shift transmission. The windshield is gently raked and the body lines blend effortlessly with the dual cowl and the plentiful rear passenger area. The subtle, slanted back bodywork houses a small luggage compartment behind its lower-hinged door. The four passenger doors are hidden-hinged at their front and the hood length provides the evidence of power and beauty.

This Cadillac has an older high-quality restoration that has been well-preserved and will easily turn heads wherever it goes. Documents show that this was originally a seven-passenger sedan that was upgraded to its present Fleetwood dual cowl phaeton body at an undetermined point in its past. The presentation is first-class in all manners beginning with the emerald green finish, rich tan interior, complementary cloth top and numerous chrome accents, including the side louvers on the hood.

Additionally you’ll find centerlock wire wheels that have color-keyed rims and hubs with chrome spokes, dual sidemounted spares that have chrome full enclosures, luggage rack, wind-wings, dual Trippe driving lights, wire-mesh radiator stone guard, dual exhaust with chrome tips that are directed down and goddess radiator ornament.

The interior is understated and stylish prominently featuring a body-color dashboard that has trimmed engine-turned inserts on either side of the instrument panel with a Jaeger clock and sweep-hand speedometer, plus four other gauges. The Fleetwood also presents leather seats, door panels and seat back with hand-rail.

This Cadillac has been carefully preserved, stunning in appearance and is recognized as a Full Classic by the respected Classic Car Club of America.
