  • This car is being offered by its original owner and comes with all of the original documentation, including shipping information. This vehicle was picked up at the dock in Long Beach, California in October 1967 by the owner
  • Was primary “driver” car for five years and sat for eight more. The Healey was completely restored by Global Healey in Poughkeepsie, NY, beginning with a 67,000 mile car that was solid throughout and executed a “nuts-and-bolts” refurbishment
  • Fully documented “one of a kind” 3000 Mk III originally restored from the bottom up in 1982, in preparation for the 1982 New York Car Show, at which Donald Healey wanted to present this “upgraded” version of his Austin-Healey for marketing in the United States. This automobile did just that; reaction being at the show being so positive, he went back to England to buy the molds. Donald Healey signed glove box and was an acquaintance of the owner
  • Upgrades executed in original restoration include handmade German canvas top, chrome wire wheels, re-veneered walnut dashboard, special wood steering wheel, Connolly leather hides for high-quality interior along with handmade Wilton wool carpet
  • Although the original restoration held up extremely well with only 2,400 miles on the odometer (plus never seeing rain), the same individual who did the original refurbishment, is currently bringing it back to perfection and is again renewed as of February 2013
  • Signed by Donald Healey
