Inspired by “dream car” design, the beauty and symmetry of the Turnpike Cruiser is superbly expressed in this agile, low profiled two-door hardtop. This handsome car is powered by a 368-cid, 290-hp V-8 engine, that was offered in the Turnpike Cruiser only. The Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission came as standard equipment; this car’s transmission is stated to be freshly rebuilt.

The Mercury is presented in factory color, Fiesta Red – the owner states that few Turnpike Cruisers were finished in this color. The body was long-block sanded and painted in base coat clear coat and is car show quality. The interior is reported to be factory original with Turnpike Heat Stamping. All exterior chrome was re-plated and all stainless steel has been redone. Any anodizing, where applicable, has been refinished, as are the gold side trim inserts. The Cruiser rides on all new Coker radial tires with the correct width whitewalls.
