The Super 88 is powered by a high-performance 303-cid Rocket Power V-8 engine, which it shared with the Super 98. It has a four-barrel carburetor which helped boost torque to nearly 290, and also a Hydra-Matic transmission. This Oldsmobile is reported to have only 12,559 original miles.

This vehicle has been given a mechanical and cosmetic restoration since new, all the chrome has been redone due to its age and all stainless steel has been polished. All glass is in perfect condition and has no stone rash. The leather interior is like new and the Cascade Green exterior is in perfect condition. The Super 88 convertible also features dual exhaust, Coker classic tires, factory fender skirts, electric clock, AM radio and power top.

In 1952, Oldsmobile highest total number of vehicles sold was the Oldsmobile Super 88 with 118,558 units sold. They were offered in five different body styles and helped Oldsmobile secure fourth position for 1952 in overall American auto industry production. This was something they had not done since the early 1900s.
