In the period of the largest Thunderbirds produced, special care was given in detail to provide the owner a driving experience of comfort and handling ease; making it easy to understand why Thunderbird was always among the leaders in personal luxury car sales. With power from a 460-cid, 202-hp V-8 engine, the transmission is a three-speed automatic. There are many luxury standards on this Thunderbird such as power windows, steering and brakes – the fronts being disc.
