The Impala name was first used by Chevrolet in 1956 for a General Motors Motorama show car. The nameplate was introduced into the production line up for 1958. The longer, lower, and wider 1958 Chevrolet was all new. It was positioned to be an upgrade of the popular Bel Air models through sporty, top of the line trim packages and styling cues that included its now trademark six taillight design. The bodies were fitted to a re-engineered chassis that was designed for strength and rigidity and fitted with a full-coil suspension and numerous power options. The first Impala’s succeeded in the perfect blend of Cadillac style and Corvette inspired performance; a one-year body style that has become increasingly sought after by collectors.

This ground-up restored Impala was an Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) National First Prize Junior and Senior Award Winner. It is finished in Cashmere Blue with a tri-color interior. The interior is complete with power windows, seat, top, and AM radio. Under the hood, you will find a 348-cid V-8 engine with three two-barrel carburetors. It is also equipped with power brakes, steering and the power pack. The exterior has terrific features as well; including a Continental kit, dual side-view mirrors, fender skirts, dual antennas, spinner hubcaps, and radial whitewall tires.
