Alongside most other Detroit automakers in the mid-1950s, Chrysler promoted a revamped styling trend throughout its model line. For 1956, fins were added to the Coronet and once again Dodge restyled its Coronet for 1957 in adherence with the “Forward Look” design by Virgil Exner. The Coronet had a longer wheelbase and was also lower, and wider than any of its predecessors. In 1957 it featured recessed headlights with large brows and a completely new grille, both surrounded in chrome trim, which all provided for a decidedly fresh and unique appearance.

Finished in Crimson Red and White with a red vinyl and black cloth interior, this 1958 Coronet comes with factory dual carburetors and a 361-cid V-8 that produces 320 horsepower. Power is transferred by way of a pushbutton automatic transmission. An older restoration, the interior is very nice, and the paint, chrome and brightwork are all in good condition.
