Launched in 1999, the 6.0 variant of Alpina’s B12 is perhaps best described as an autobahn bruiser wearing a beautifully cut suit. Under the bonnet, the hand-built V12 was enlarged from 5.7 to 6.0-litres, and the power climbed to a prodigious 424 bhp, alongside 600 nm of torque. Bespoke springs and dampers, alongside an interior trimmed in the finest leathers with unique Alpina accents and trademark Alpina alloys, completed the package. Ninety-four were built, of which only 23 were long-wheelbase ‘Langversion’ examples.
This long-wheelbase B12, now offered for sale, was originally supplied to its first owner in Japan in December 2000, before being exported to Belgium in 2016 and before being purchased by its current owner later that year. Specified in Titan Silver with black leather and walnut trim, it is the only example to be finished in that color scheme and presents in wonderful condition throughout.
