The 1951 Fords shared styling from the previous 1949 and 1950 models. The Custom series was the top-of-the-line trim level. It featured chrome window moldings, horn ring, sunvisors, as well as door armrests. The Custom series offered either six- or eight-cylinder engine, the latter of which came in seven different body styles. In 1951, Ford produced 40,934 Custom series V-8 convertibles.
Appearing very tidy throughout, this 1951 Ford Custom Convertible is presented in two-tone Chartreuse Green and Raven Black with a new Haartz black convertible top. The exterior features a split windshield design, Ford hood ornament, wide whitewall tires and beautiful brightwork throughout. The car is powered by a 239-cid, 100-hp flathead V-8 engine which is paired to a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The interior of the car is completed in a vinyl and fabric striped pattern with a yellow dashboard featuring a radio and lockable glovebox.
