In January of 1963, a Limited Edition Thunderbird Landau was introduced. It was available with white exterior color, maroon vinyl top, white steering wheel and white leather interior. This model is often referred to as the “Principality of Monaco” Edition due to being introduced in this legendary Mediterranean seaside locale along the French Riviera.
The 1963 Thunderbird body style was very similar to that of the prior two-years except for a mid-body feature that sweeps back horizontally. A distinctive feature that was factory equipment was a ‘Swing Away’ steering wheel. This restored car is powered by a 390-cid eight-cylinder engine that is equipped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and produces an estimated 300-hp. Transferring power to the wheels is an automatic transmission. This vehicle has dual mirrors, factory wheel covers, tasteful whitewall tires and an AM/FM radio.
