The personal luxury car market was growing rapidly in the late 1960s and Cadillac’s completely redesigned sixth generation Eldorado was a welcome response. Cadillac used the E-body from other GM models with the Unified Powerplant Package developed for the Oldsmobile Toronado. 1970 saw the introduction of the enormous 500-cubic inch V-8 engine that was factory rated at 400-hp. Even today, this remains the largest ever production V-8 engine.

This Eldorado was ordered in Nottingham Green Firemist with matching green seatbelts, green carpets and a green dashboard. Its white leather interior and white elk grain vinyl top contrast nicely with the green Firemist paint. Finding another 1970 Cadillac in comparable condition to this example will be virtually impossible. It has covered only 30,481 miles, believed to be original, and remains in completely original condition throughout. It has never been damaged and the paint, interior, vinyl top, and nearly everything else is original to the car and has never been replaced.

This is the ideal Eldorado for a collector that appreciates well-preserved original classics that can be driven and enjoyed.
