This customized pickup truck immediately turns heads upon coming into view. It is painted in a brilliant blue and silver exterior paint combination with dark gray and purple pinstripes. It is said to “sparkle in the sunlight” and reflects the glow of the polished chrome that is fitted to the truck. All indicators point to the craftsmanship and hours dedicated to this complete frame-off restoration that took over four years to complete.

This custom “pro touring” truck is part of a respected collection and is powered by the rare 429-cid Super Cobra Jet engine with DOVE-C heads, competition cam, roller rockers and bored over .030 with aluminum forged pistons. To assist in powering this incredible engine is a Holley 750-cfm “double-pumper” carburetor, Edelbrock performance manifold, Hedman Hedders (yes, it is spelled that way by the company), four-core Walker aluminum radiator and MSD ignition. To further harness this powerful machine is a rebuilt Ford C6 transmission with a 2,500 stall converter that is operated by a Lokar stainless shifter.

The ride associated with this 1952 Ford is that of a late model sedan, having been lowered three-inches and supported by a Heidt’s four-link suspension with coilover shocks in the rear (plus disc brakes) and a Mustang II front suspension with disc brakes and power rack-and-pinion steering up front.

The interior of the Ford pickup is as beautiful as the exterior form. Within is a custom fiberglass center console painted the same blue that glistens on the outside, custom leather sculpted gray and silver bucket seats and custom two-tone door panels. Interior comfort levels are further heightened by Vintage Air conditioning, power windows controlled at the center console, new Omega gauges, Kenwood stereo system, plus all new glass and seals.

The bed of the truck, which highlights red oak timber floors and hidden-bolt stainless steel bed strips, is positioned over a Flowmaster exhaust system and atop stylish Niche Targa wheels that have great style and complement the exterior silver-tone high-luster paint. The blending of an amazing powerplant with the custom-crafted interior, stunning exterior and obvious attention to details and dedicated artistry contribute to define this custom truck (which is reported as completely documented) a prize for any singular acquisition or adding to an established collection.
