What is regarded as a modern classic with coachwork by Pininfarina; the clean and elegant "Kamm tail" Spider bodywork debuted with the 1970 Spider Veloce, and it would prove quite popular and lasted into the 1990s. The original 1750 model was one-year-only, with the arrival of the Spica-injected 2000 model in 1971. The results of wind tunnel testing influenced the 2000's distinctive drag-reducing Kamm tail, additional progresses over the earlier Duetto models included larger brakes and a limited-slip rear end. New car customers looking at this class of automobile and critics alike were impressed by the Alfas overall speed, quickness and predictable handling.

The 2000 Spider Veloce is powered by a 1,962-cc, 132-hp DOHC inline four-cylinder engine with SPICA mechanical fuel Injection and paired to a five-speed manual transmission. This respected Italian platform also incorporates power four-wheel disc brakes.

Presented in Giallo Pagaoda with black interior, this particular 2000 was sold new by Chris Nikel's Autohaus in Tulsa, Oklahoma to its first owner on September 13th, 1973 and remained with him for 40 years. With limited ownership, it has been meticulously maintained and has remained in Oklahoma and Texas during this time. Along with being well-kept and tidy, it has approximately 18,000 miles since new and is original in most aspects, bar a single repaint in its proper original color. The Spider Veloce is well-documented and is accompanied by its books, original keys, tools, and owner’s card. The car has a driver friendly cockpit with full instrumentation and the Alfa is equipped with its factory original AM/FM radio. This brilliantly preserved automobile is mechanically sound and has received over $7,000 worth of mechanical attention within the past year.
