French manufacturer Morellet et Guérineau produced a variety of high-quality pedal cars in the fifties and sixties under license from various automakers, including Ferrari and Lotus. Beautifully crafted with impressive detailing, their bodies were made of sheet metal and thus those survive often succumb to rust. Not so with this wonderfully restored example from the collection of noted auto enthusiast, the late Gordon Apker. Finished in vibrant red with a white seat, it retains many authentic details that often go missing, including the color-matched “windscreen” and polished side exhaust and front louver. The wheels and tires, replete with Pirelli logo, are said to be original. A notable upgrade from the original plastic unit, the handmade custom metal steering wheel is a work of art in gorgeous tiger wood affixed with brass rivets. Measures 44.5 inches long by 15.5 inches wide by 18.5 inches tall.
