The car being offered represents one of the most iconic American cars of the 1950s; the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. All models are desirable, but perhaps the most popular body style is the convertible. Naturally, the most desirable convertible would be powered by a V-8 with automatic transmission, power steering and power top. To take the car to the outer limits, it would need to have the two-carburetor setup, which this fabulous car has. The 2x4 Dual Quad setup is reported as authentic and with the correct air cleaner. A two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission backs the 283-cid, 270-hp engine with a correct stainless steel exhaust system.

Finished in code 802 Matador Red (as new) with a perfectly complementary red and silver interior plus a white power-operated top, this two four-barrel Bel Air has been frame-off restored and, as expected has a detailed underbody, undercarriage, engine compartment and chassis. The correct red oxide primer is also on the underbody. The car was completely disassembled during restoration before its careful reassembly and conditioning. The fit and finish is reported by the owner as being “as original.”

Power steering adds to the driving ease, while the Bel Air will stand out by having fender skirts, rear deck trim and BFGoodrich whitewall tires. E-Z Eye glass, spare tire, jack, matching top boot and a radio complete this great and desirable Chevrolet package. Many have dreamed of owning a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible, especially with Dual Quads in a most beautiful color combination.
