In what is reported as an older build, and completed in a frame-off, custom manner; this 1931 Ford Model A Pickup has been modified in many aspects, most notably the original inline four-cylinder engine being replaced by a supercharged 327-cid V-8 with dual exhaust. It is powerful and connected to a floor-shift automatic transmission and driven by a Halibrand rear end.
Finished in an appealing shade of blue with beige custom leather interior, this Ford also has a modern tilt steering column, seatbelts, custom VDO gauge cluster with white faces and additional dash-mounted instruments including a tachometer. Further mechanical features consist of electronic ignition, power steering and Wilwood brakes that are also power-assisted.
The truck has a “correct stance” with other popular characteristics that are seen in the form of oak wood bed floors, oak wood side rail extensions, gas tank hidden in an vintage steamer-type trunk, custom 10-spoke wheels, Goodyear Assurance radial tires, hand-painted pinstripes and artwork on the driver’s door, chrome grille with grille guard, moto-meter, chrome trim, chrome bumpers, tilt-out windshield, external windshield visor, running board step plates and dual rearview mirrors.
