Introduced in 1993, the original Ford Lightning pickup truck followed a common formula for Detroit; fit a big engine in a small platform. Small in the world of pickup trucks means a two-wheel-drive regular-cab body. Twelve thousand of those Lightnings, priced at just under $22,000, were sold between 1993 and 1995. After 1995, the Lightning went on a four-year interruption until a new model based on the then current F-150 debuted in 1999.

The second generation Lighting featured fresh new styling and unmatched performance in its category, and was recognized as the world’s fastest production pickup and the cost was now approximately $32,500 when new. The truck features much more than only visual accents; it is powered by a supercharged with intercooler 5.4-liter, 380-hp V-8 engine that is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. This Lighting is finished in Black with a gray and black interior and is presented in primarily original condition with little usage in the ensuing years. This F-150 is well equipped with air conditioning, AM/FM/cassette, sliding rear window, added bed tonneau cover, side-routed exhaust, alloy wheels; power windows, steering and four-wheel disc brakes. With a reported 7,500 being produced in this model year, it is quite uncommon in availability and performance. This F-150 Lighting also comes with a Carfax and the associated books seen in the accompanying photo array.
