The new-for-1955 Chevrolet featured “show car styling” at its beautiful best. The new Bel Air Convertible looked as fresh as you were sure to feel behind the wheel. Wider and longer looking than its predecessor, plus much lower, the crisp lines were enhanced by tasteful chrome styling accents that distinguished the luxurious Bel Air models. The interior received the same level of attention – it looked luxurious, and that it was. Fabrics and fittings had a look of custom quality and color-keyed interiors greatly enhanced the overall package. These fine qualities brought the Bel Air great attention when new, and this interest and desire to own persists to this modern day.
