First introduced in 1920, the Indian Scout, was initially described as “exceeding everyone’s expectation” and even more so with advent of 101 Scout in 1927. Because of its power and agility, just the right balance of weight (370-lbs.) and design, it also became the most popular mount for the famous “Wall of Death” stunt riders.

An extremely popular road machine of its day, the sidevalve 45-cid powered 101 Scout maintains that “ride it every day” status more than 85 years later, oft praised as the “best bike Indian ever built.” There was an old saying referring to the model that went “Indian Scout… you can’t wear’em out.” However, because of the Depression, it saw a relatively short production run.

This fine example shows a quality restoration including the correct color. It also features correct period and accessories including spotlight and instrumentation. In its current state, it would take very little to have it up and running.
