By 1966 the Bonneville TT Special, officially a competition version of the T120C, finally received its own factory designation. And yes it was Special. The 650’s tuned engine pumped out a stout 52-bhp, the bike weighing only 363-lbs. dry and providing for some serious power-to-weight fun in the saddle. Help in the stopping department benefited from improvements on the eight-inch front brake with 50% increased swept area.
