During the 1957 model year Oldsmobile sales were good enough for fifth place in the industry. During the 1950s, Oldsmobile was the epitome of performance and styling. For 1957, Oldsmobiles featured an all-new body and a far different look. Oldsmobile referred to its ‘57 models as “Golden Rockets,” a bit of a misnomer as the GM division was celebrating its 60th anniversary that year. An engineering highlight was the first printed electric circuit for the instrument cluster.

This nicely restored 88 is painted light blue and white two-tone accented by a red bodyside spear which perfectly matches its blue and white interior. It is equipped with a clock and radio along with the standard 277-hp, 371-cid Rocket V-8 and Hydramatic automatic transmission. It is one of 18,477 Two-Door Sedans built for 1957.
