Taking on a name already associated with Buick, the Riviera had been a part of the company since the introduction of the hardtop in 1949. Unlike most other GM automotive models, the new 1963 Riviera’s basic body shell and major components were not shared with any other models. With basic styling wrapped up, the body was adapted to a modified cruciform chassis and fitted with the ‘nailhead’ V-8 engine. Only minor changes were made for the 1964 Riviera, and new owners were treated to deep-pile carpets, foam padded front and rear bucket seats, a center console with transmission selector lever and vinyl and wood trim throughout. Presented in Sunburst Yellow with black vinyl upholstery, this Riviera is in tip-top shape. The paint is of a high quality and is trimmed out with excellent chrome and stainless steel components. Accessories include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, AM/FM radio with power antenna, cruise control, Autronic-Eye, power windows, power locks and power seat. The engine compartment was treated to an authentic restoration and sparkles like new. There is very little to not like about this beautifully designed hardtop from Buick.
