A very rare VW light-duty truck, due to tax speculations between the United States and Germany. Very few were brought to America; imported trucks were drastically curtailed. This show-quality example is one of a handful available. This Volkswagen Type II model with correct 1.6-liter engine had a professional rotisserie-type restoration in California. All new leather interior with cranberry and silver paint, all new paint in the bed and interior drop gates, and all restored wood slats in the bed. New two-pillar canopy with slot-top and canvas enclosure. First place show winner, 11th annual VW show "Bay window bus". It runs and drives like brand new.
