One of 10,327 manufactured by American Motors Corporation, this 1965 Rambler Marlin features the 287-cid V-8 engine with two-barrel carburetion rated at 198-hp. The Marlin has had one repaint and presents four-piston Bendix front disc brakes, reclining front bucket seats, engine-turned aluminum surround for instrumentation, Solex tinted-glass; power steering and brakes. There are as well, front and rear center armrests, center console, Marlin specific door panels trimmed with carpet and stainless steel accents, courtesy and back-up lamps, and radio with rear speaker. Utilizing numerous design attributes of the Tarpon, Rambler’s 1964 show car introduced this roofline. The Marlin was promoted as “The swinging new man-size sports fastback by Rambler.”
