With approximately 60,000 original miles, Front wheel drive Toronado 455 c.I.d. and automatic transmission. General Motors enjoyed great success with this coach until 1979 when the Toronado FWD platform was discontinued. This coach resided in an air conditioned classic car show room in Pennsylvania from 1976 until 1996. She was then purchased by the Hunters and shipped to Golby Motor Coach Works in Orlando, FL. While there she underwent a total rebuild, refurbishment and makeover at a cost in excess of $100,000. After a complete gutting, the air suspension was upgraded to quad air bag and stabilizer bars. A thorough application of foam insulation was applied: a floor plan was totally reconfigured The coach now features a rear bedroom with twin beds, a side bath and galley in the center which has a full-sizes 3-way refrigertor, electric couch and dinette area up front. Every conceivable detail has been addressed including dual pilot chairs featuring electric heat, lumbar support and massaging units along with dual Penguin air conditioners. The dash, headlights and taillights, visor rooftop storage pod, front tv unit, rear flat screen hideaway TV, and sound system. All units, from the drive-train, engine, electrical, plumbing, heating, etc. work better than when this motorcoach came off the assembly line.
