The original Sting Ray Corvettes are among the most highly prized of America’s sports cars. Produced for just five years, the styling impact of this body style can still be seen in modern cars some five decades after it was introduced. Nineteen sixty-seven marked the final year of the Sting Ray (C2) design and is highly desirable among Corvette collectors.

Presented in the ever-popular Marlboro Maroon, the car offered here is a truly exciting example of the Corvette. It is powered by the L71 427/435 V-8 engine, the most powerful engine option for 1967. The engine is paired to a four-speed manual transmission. The impeccable attention to detail continues to the interior, which is completed in black and features a clock, AM/FM radio, wood steering wheel, and bucket seats with optional headrests.

Per the included NCRS Shipping Data Report, the car was originally delivered to Doc Stewart Chevrolet Buick of Clovis, New Mexico. From there, it made its way to Detroit, Michigan, in the hands of the second owner, who later exported it to Canada. The third owner, an experienced Corvette connoisseur, purchased the car in London, Ontario, nine years ago and immediately began restoring the car to the highest standard while maintaining as much originality as possible. During this process, the consignor was able to refurbish and refit many of its original factory parts. His efforts paid off, as the Corvette achieved the prestigious Bloomington Gold Certification in 2014. The consignor reports that the car remains in excellent condition, having covered fewer than 300 miles total since he acquired it in 2009, and driven very little following its restoration.

The 427/435 Corvette is as desirable today as it was when it was first introduced to the public more than 50 years ago.
