Following the success of its Navigator sport utility vehicle, Lincoln was emboldened to build the first luxury pickup truck, and launched the Blackwood at the North American International Auto Show in 1999. Essentially a rear-wheel-drive Ford F150 Crew Cab, in luxurious trim, the Blackwood was available only in triple-black, with a steel-lined plastic composite truck bed reworked as a trunk, with a power-operated tonneau cover, full carpeting, and outer panels of artificial burled black wood, pinstriped in aluminum. The example offered here has 15,000 original miles and is equipped with the optional navigation system; it is offered with additional OEM veneer trim pieces for the rear deck, which the owner acquired from a Lincoln dealership in the hopes of continuing to properly maintain the truck for many years.
