The Thunderbird body design was enthusiastically embraced from day one; this exceptional example looks spectacular in Flame Red (code VV as seen on the data tag) with red and grey interior, chromed Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, rear skirts, and whitewall tires. Originally a D-Code powered (312 cubic inch, 245 horsepower) example, in 1961 this Thunderbird saw the addition of Paxton-McCulloch supercharger. The addition of the supercharger and the pairing of the engine to a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive makes this an excellent cruiser. The Thunderbird comes with two tops, the famous “porthole” removable top as well as the soft-top.

Although not supercharged originally by the factory, this is a quality installation from 1961 utilizing all of the key components and matching the factory cars in presentation and performance. This 1957 Ford Thunderbird offers plenty of “go” – not just show. It’s sure to impress future ownership.
