Reported as rare and very collectible, this 1972 Cutlass S two-door hardtop with the W29 4-4-2 option is one of only 240 made with this color and options. The W29 option included: 4-4-2 appearance and handling package; body side, hood and trunk striping, black radiator grille and hood louvers, and a three-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shift lever. Additionally it is equipped with the FE2 Suspension Package which includes: heavy-duty front and rear springs, performance shock absorbers, front and rear stabilizer bars, heavy-duty rear suspension control arms and 14- by 7-inch Super Stock wheels. It is powered by a 350-cid, 200-hp Oldsmobile V-8 engine that is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. This Cutlass has a factory dual exhaust system and new BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised white letter tires. Further equipment includes power steering, tinted glass, dual rearview mirrors and the factory AM radio with an aftermarket Custom Auto Sound AM/FM stereo radio that is discretely hidden from view. Aftermarket full instrumentation has been installed that includes a tachometer. Included with this Cutlass is years of accumulated documents showing the build sheet and options installed on this car when new. Additional documents include the owner’s manual, Protect -O-Plate, warranty papers and sales literature. This Cutlass was collector owned for many years and is in exceptional original unmolested condition. Years ago it was refinished in its original color and remains in excellent condition. The factory tinted glass is free of chips, scratches or delamination; the black bucket seat interior is as new showing minimal or no wear of any kind. All the chromed and stainless surfaces are in exceptional show condition. The undercarriage is virtually free of rust or corrosion and all mechanical systems function normally.
