Reported as rare and very collectible, this 1972 Cutlass S two-door hardtop with the W29 4-4-2 option is one of only 240 made with this color and options. The W29 option included: 4-4-2 appearance and handling package; body side, hood and trunk striping, black radiator grille and hood louvers, and a three-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shift lever. Additionally it is equipped with the FE2 Suspension Package which includes: heavy-duty front and rear springs, performance shock absorbers, front and rear stabilizer bars, heavy-duty rear suspension control arms and 14- by 7-inch Super Stock wheels. It is powered by a 350-cid, 200-hp Oldsmobile V-8 engine that is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. This Cutlass has a factory dual exhaust system and new BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised white letter tires. Further equipment includes power steering, tinted glass, dual rearview mirrors and the factory AM radio with an aftermarket Custom Auto Sound AM/FM stereo radio that is discretely hidden from view. Aftermarket full instrumentation has been installed that includes a tachometer. Included with this Cutlass is years of accumulated documents showing the build sheet and options installed on this car when new.
