The 1950 Ford was instrumental to the company’s survival and success. While it retained the previous year’s “Fashion Car of the Year” styling, it was said to feature “50 improvements for ‘50”. Handsome remaining examples such as this are highly collectable as they benefit from these numerous improvements and continue to be very enjoyable, drivable automobiles, especially when offered in stylish convertible form.
The 1950 Ford Custom Deluxe Convertible offered here is a remarkable example with 56,000 believed original miles, finished in yellow with a contrasting red interior. It certainly appears to have been well cared for, and remains highly presentable throughout. Very well equipped, it comes with rear fender skirts, white sidewall tires, a convertible top boot, a heater/defroster, and radio.
