This Sunbeam Tiger was restored in the early 2000’s, and is powered by a 289-cid V-8 engine that is paired to a top loader four-speed manual transmission and a heavy duty clutch. Among the engine details are a four-barrel carburetor with an aluminum Edelbrock manifold, Tiger aluminum valve covers and an alternator. The Tiger is fitted with 14 inch Panasport wheels, a recently replaced wooden dash, and “some of the rarer bits missing from a lot of Tigers (or were options)” such as the fan shroud, Smiths clock, Smiths ammeter, sunvisors, and false trunk floor. The seats are reported as mint and the carpet excellent. The soft-top is stated to be older with a clean rear window and will keep the rain out in its “fair condition.” However, the tonneau cover is reported as very good original condition. There is a brand new windshield with rubber seal.

This car spent its first 30 years in the south east United States. While the car has a correct Tiger VIN, and is listed in the Book of Norman, the Tiger Registry, it is believed this Tiger was rebodied using a correct Alpine shell in the 1970’s or 80’s. The work was reportedly carried out by Tiger experts, as the appearance and mechanical set up are as the factory would have done it, and only a Tiger expert would know it was rebodied.
