The most exciting part of the Thunderbird adventure is the way the car moves, rides and corners. It was a trend-setter in period and is still a highly admired part of Ford, and American motoring history. This Pastel Yellow example has a black interior and black vinyl top that displays the faux factory landau irons that provided a luxury feel to the Thunderbird. The car was innovative in its sequential taillight system and was also strong by running a V-8 engine with an automatic transmission. Among the equipment found on this example is bucket seats, center console, Swing-Away steering column, fender skirts, radio with rear speaker, power steering, front wheel disc brakes and various warning lights in an aircraft-inspired cabin setting.
