Mercury led the way in the domestic high performance world with its all-new for 1969 Cyclone Fastback. Outstanding performance, bold styling and an aggressive personality were all marks for this competition-bred intermediate-sized automobile.

The rare car being offered is reported as being ordered on October 14, 1968 and built on October 30, 1968. It is further reported as one of 121 similar cars built with the Yellow and Black paint trim code. It was then delivered to Parker Ford in Sylvania, Georgia. This restored example is equipped with the optional high output 390-cid V-8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor that produces 320 horsepower and 427-lb/ft of torque. This exceptional unit is matched to a C6 automatic transmission and the rear end has a 3.00:1 ratio.
