Celebrating Lincoln’s sharp cutting edge of contemporary design, this Lincoln Continental Mark V remains in stunning condition with less than 8,000 miles showing on the odometer though it has an exempt title. The Collector’s Series treatment cost nearly $8000 on top of the already pricey luxurious Lincoln when new, bringing the MSRP to almost $22,000, about three times that of a regular Ford automobile. This example is maximum American opulence of the era. The 1979 Collector's Series Mark V had essentially the same equipment as the Diamond Jubilee Edition of 1978 and there were very few additional equipment options. Unique paint schemes, as well as Collector's Series script on the rear roof quarters, gave the Collector's Series unique touches. Unlike other Mark V models, these cars did not include opera windows.

Among the many standard features included in this flagship Lincoln are, a Landau vinyl top, Electronic AM/FM stereo search radio with cassette tape player, power locks, six-way power seating, power windows, cruise control, rear window deicer, air conditioning and more. The original service literature and owner’s manual are still present with the car. A very limited run of only 3,900 Collector’s Series Mark V Lincolns were produced in the Midnight Blue color. Today, they are difficult to find in any respectable condition and represent the finest and some of the most expensive American automobiles of the decade.
