The 1957 Thunderbird received refinement, making it a truly sophisticated car. The new car was 6.1 inches longer, which allowed for the accommodation of a spare wheel at the trunk; the front bumper was smoothed out and dropped in the center; and the canted fins flowed back to big round taillights at the rear. The ride quality was improved by relocating the spare tire inside the trunk. This year would also mark the final year for the classic first generation, and arguably the most iconic in the series.

This restored Thunderbird is finished in red, with fender skirts and a red removable hardtop with portholes. The interior is presented nicely in white with an engine turned dash insert and volumatic radio. The t-bird “go” comes from the 245-hp, 312-cid V-8 fueled by a single carburetor, back by a fully automatic transmission and four-wheel hydraulic brakes. The car is embellished with chrome bumpers, wire wheels riding on wide whitewall tires and power steering.
