The 1936 model update has become greatly sought after by collectors. Holden “Bob” Koto helped work this car into a majestic piece of art history. Ford offered numerous body styles in 1936, with most being open body styles. The Phaeton was advertised with an attractive body, combined with modern styling and V-8 performance, with safety glass and windwings as standard equipment.
Setting this Phaeton in motion is the famous Flathead V-8 engine with a three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle, live rear axle and four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. The wheels on this car are equipped with “Spider” hubcaps, which were a factory option, a new boot for the convertible top and tools. It is said that this car is a V-8 Club Winner.
