This is a very nice 1960 DeSoto Adventurer two-door hardtop in lovely Shell White with the deluxe tri-color cloth & vinyl interior. The original 10:1 compression 383 / 305 horsepower engine starts immediately and settles into a smooth quiet idle. No modifications from factory original; still has the factory carburetor, original intake and exhaust manifolds and original air cleaner assembly. Runs perfectly on premium pump gas and there are no issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. Pulls nicely through the rev range and cruises comfortably at 75- to 80-mph like a modern car. The original Torqueflite pushbutton automatic transmission shifts perfectly and the original 3.23 rear end provides a nice balance of power and relaxed cruising. Power steering and power brakes for smooth easy maneuvering. This is reported as an extremely nice driving car - literally like new.

The interior is 100-percent factory original and looks like brand new. No wear on the seats, no wear on the carpets, no wear on the steering wheel and no wear on the controls. The odometer is showing only 06119 miles; it can't be actual; but from all indications it may be correct. The Adventurer was the top-of-the-line DeSoto in 1960 and came with the Deluxe tri-color cloth & vinyl seats; they are in perfect condition and the seat cushions are still firm & supportive. It has the factory two-tone red and white steering wheel in excellent condition with only one small unnoticeable hairline crack at 4:00. Pushbutton transmission and pushbutton heater controls. Factory 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and water temperature; warning lights for oil pressure and amps. It also has the factory AM radio & clock. Everything works properly; all lights, horn, wipers, instruments, radio and even the clock keeps time. The original headliner with the chrome bows is perfect. The original dash is flawless and there is no sun fade on the gauges or cracks in the dash cover. No wear on the original carpets. It has an incredibly nice original interior that is literally like new.

All original body with no dents, no dings and no waves. The underside still has the original rustproofing/sound deadening and there is no rust or patch panels. Lovely paint in the correct Shell White done in modern acrylic urethane and block sanded and buffed to a smooth finish and a glossy shine. There are excellent chrome bumpers at the front and rear, along with excellent front grille and taillight bezels. The DeSoto displays perfect brightwork and stainless steel side spears. The Adventurer also has dual side mirrors with remote, dual rear-mounted antennas, excellent weatherstripping, trunk molding and window whiskers. The trunk contains the original spare tire (never down), jack assembly, carpet and cardboard surrounds; and is perfect. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Factory steel wheels with the deluxe hubcaps fitted with P215-75-14 whitewall radials. Still has the original owner's manual and warranty pamphlet in the glove box. The DeSoto is just professionally detailed and hand-waxed; needs nothing; turnkey ready for cruises and Best-of-Show trophies.
